AESG buys Springboard Mideast

AESG, a specialist consultancy, engineering, and advisory firm, has strengthened its position as a leading provider of consultancy services for the built environment through the acquisition of Springboard Middle East.

With its new Solution-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, AESG will offer comprehensive commissioning, handover and asset management services, and integrated data solutions on a digital, cloud-based platform with enhanced data management capabilities.

The AESG move comes following the announcement of its ongoing global expansion.

In addition to gaining ownership of Springboard Middle East’s regional contracts, staff, IP, and assets, the deal has enabled AESG to launch its new digital commissioning, handover and asset management platform Data+, said the company.

 

Contec to bring ‘air-to-water’ tech

Contec Global, the UK-based conglomerate delivering sustainable AgriTech programmes in the region, has marked a strategic tie-up with Maithri Aquatech, a leading Indian developer of innovative air-to-water technology, to bring large-scale sustainable water solutions to the Middle East and Africa.

The partnership aims to deliver a business of over $200 million in atmospheric water generator (AWG) solutions in the region over the next three to five years, said Contec Global.

Maithri Aquatech has developed ‘Meghdoot’ (cloud messenger in Sanskrit), a solution which can generate potable water from air on a highly scalable basis going up to over millions of liters per day, without relying on traditional water sources.

 

New pedestrian bridge completed

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the completion of a 475-m-long bridge for pedestrians and cyclists crossing over Ras Al Khor Road (Dubai-Hatta).

The bridge links the International City and Al Warqaa and eases the mobility of pedestrians between the two sides of Ras Al Khor Road. It also links the cycling tracks from Al Khawaneej, Mushrif and Al Warqaa with International City and  Dragon Mart.

Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, the Director-General and Chairman of RTA Executive Directors board said with this completion, the number of footbridges in Dubai has risen from 13 bridges in 2006 to 129 bridges in 2020.
