Onyx Bahrain Bay, an iconic tower at Bahrain Bay, has been crowned winner of the Luxury Lifestyle Award in the category of Best Luxury Freehold Residential Apartments in Bahrain, according to Kooheji Development, one of the largest real estate developers in the country.

The Luxury Lifestyle Awards are internationally recognised accolades celebrating the best luxury goods and services in the world. The award attracts entrants from over 30 countries. To be crowned a winner, the project has to undergo thorough research and assessment process by Luxury Lifestyle Awards jury and also meet their high standards of quality and excellence.
Onyx Bahrain Bay features a total of 700 apartments in a twin-tower development – the 44-storey Tower A and the 39-level Tower B. Its ethos of creating a high-end space that supports both professional and leisure time has resulted in breathtaking towers with accommodation arranged over 44 storeys providing a far-reaching view of the Arabian Gulf and the metropolis of Bahrain Bay.
On its key achievement, General Manager Engineer Mohamed Abdulghaffar Al Kooheji says: “We are delighted that Onyx Bahrain Bay project’s apartment became the winner of Best Luxury Freehold Residential Apartments in Bahrain.”
“Our core aim when designing Onyx Bahrain Bay was to visualise an architecturally leading residential property that aligned itself perfectly with discerning homeowners looking for a one-of-a-kind luxury, living experience,” he states.
Onyx Bahrain Bay residents can select from one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.

Two international award-winning interior designers have developed bespoke distinctive themes and colour collection for Onyx Bahrain Bay apartments. Both themes have been designed as a definitive statement of style, with floor-to-ceiling, windows, and every apartment has been designed to maximise the view as well as focus on providing generous amounts of living space through effective interior space planning, he notes.

For the first time in a residential project in Bahrain, Villeroy & Boch toilet accessories’ top range is being installed, says Kooheji.
Announcing the project progress, the Bahrain-based developer says work is moving as per schedule, with the structural works of Onyx Tower A 100 per cent completed, including the structure of the penthouse and machine room, for the 44 floors, while the structural works of Tower B has now reached the 36th floor of 39 floors. As for works on the facilities, the concrete pouring of the outdoor swimming pool has been completed, it adds.
Kooheji Contracting is the main contractor for the project, while Aref Sadeq Design Consultants is responsible for the engineering designs.
Kooheji Contracting team is preparing the vertical elements to strengthen the trusses for crowning Onyx Bahrain Bay’s structure (The Crown), as well as starting the cladding works for the external facades, including aluminium works and curtainwall glazing.
As for block works, 89 per cent of it was completed in Onyx Tower A and 74 per cent in Tower B for the Hotel Serviced Apartments.
Kooheji’s interior design team is working in full swing to complete the mock-up apartments that include one- and two-bedroom residences that are offered in two distinctive colour collections: The Madison and The Kingsbridge.
Kooheji Interiors team is focusing on compliance with the international codes and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) requirements for low water consumptions, which ensuring luxurious and premium finish, with the state-of-the-art bespoke pieces.
While the different collections offer varied tones and textures, both have carefully chosen textures and bespoke details, joinery focal points and discrete lighting to create a relaxed and welcoming space.
