A&T Group Interiors marks the completion of several hospitality projects in prestigious locations in the region even as it has clinched the deal to fit out the offices of a major international real estate brokerage in Dubai.
The leading interior design and interior fit-out company has provided its expertise to a number of restaurants and hotels which have recently opened their doors or are set to do so shortly at sought-after addresses which range from the Palm Jumeirah to the The Opus by Zaha Hadid in Dubai and from Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi to the Diriyah Gate development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
At The Club, Palm West Beach at Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai-based firm provided full interior fit-out works for the 9,200-sq-ft Eva Beach House, the latest homegrown concept by leading hospitality group Aiza Hospitality Group.
“Eva – which stands for ‘Life’ - has become the second luxury beachfront destination to open its doors at the newly launched 'The Club', an unrivalled beach venue by Palm Jumeirah developer Nakheel. Designed by Segment Architect & Design, and built by A&T Group Interiors, Eva Beach House presents Dubai with a super-stylish sanctuary of whimsical interiors, and blends Tulum-style seaside dining with an artisanal culinary experience,” says a spokeswoman for the company.
“The beach club features breezy and draped, eccentric interiors in shades of clotted cream and earthy browns, an impressive bar covered with native-style wooden accents, bespoke decorative lighting, wild cacti climbing the walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural lighting to flood in, and skyline views to steal the show and form the perfect backdrop to the restaurant,” she adds.
Outdoors, guests will find a sprawling terrace with a bright white macramé canopy that presents the perfect spot for alfresco dining, while plush sun loungers and luxe VIP cabanas line the pristine pool and beach.
Following a soft-opening period, Eva Beach House celebrated its official grand opening on May 22.
Meanwhile, A&T Group Interiors is now gearing to handover the interior fit-out works for yet another landmark project at The Club on Palm Jumeirah – the 5,700-sq-ft Gallery 740.
Other projects at the handover stage include the 15,000-sq-ft FRNDS Café & Lounge at Fountain Views, Downtown Dubai in Dubai; and two outlets at the Bujairi Terrace at Diriyah Gate in Riyadh – namely, the Somewhere Restaurant and Joe and the Juice.
Other key projects fitted out by the company include the ECOS Hotel in Al Furjan, Basko restaurant and bar at The Opus by Zaha Hadid at Business Bay, SHI Restaurant at Bluewaters Island, all in Dubai; and Sand Restaurant at City Centre Al Zahia Mall, Sharjah.
ECOS
The 30,000-sq-ft ECOS Hotel features 314 guest rooms, all-day dining, rooftop pool, gym, laundry room, business hubs and coffee bar. A&T Group Interiors was appointed by main contractor Frayland Construction & Interiors, to complete the interior fit-out and furniture, fittings and equipment (FF&E) procurement services for all public areas, including the lobby, food and beverage (F&B) outlets, meeting rooms, gym, laundry, infinity pool and courtyard.
“The hotel is sustainable and eco-friendly, as well as experiential for its guests. It incorporates all the latest in digital technology and sustainability as far as energy is concerned. It features a smart, innovative design, coupled with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The design incorporates a multitude of patterns, shapes, forms and textures plus an array of ‘instagrammable’ features including geometric flooring, monochrome aesthetic bathrooms, creative artworks, wall murals on the façade of the building, a visually stimulating lobby, opulent greens, and raw materials such as timber woods, with corrugated grey-stone cladding all complemented by brushed gold accents,” the spokeswoman remarks.
Bishop Design by Paul Bishop was responsible for the design of the hotel.
Basko Dubai
A&T Group Interiors completed full interior fit-out works for Basko, a new 1960s-inspired Mediterranean restaurant and speakeasy-style bar, located on the ground floor of The Opus by Zaha Hadid.
Elaborating on the design of the bar, the spokeswoman says: “Basko offers guests gorgeous Downtown views, chic retro interiors, plus a world-class menu from the legendary Youssef Akiki. The eccentric but stylish decor by internationally recognised interior designer Lazaro Rosa Violan (designer of Amazonico) features a multitude of prints and clashing colours that are bound to catch the eye and earn the restaurant a reputation as Dubai’s latest instagrammable hotspot. Artistic details make up the aesthetic of the restaurant fit-out, with abstract artworks framed over the entire wall, a mirrored chandelier-adorned spiral staircase, and ruby red tassels fall from the ceiling to create a rose like artwork.”
The 5,700-sq-ft restaurant features a distinctive indoor dining area, intimate speakeasy-style bar, live robata kitchen plus a vibrant outdoor terrace offering views of Downtown Dubai and Burj Khalifa.
According to the spokesman, the project had a very tight schedule and included a very high level of detail, with a lot of bespoke joinery elements.
“This meant a lot of co-ordination and mock-ups were required. Accurate execution was paramount as each area had a different design and individual identity,” she points out.
SHI Restaurant
SHI Restaurant offers guests a sophisticated atmosphere, with upscale Hong Kong and Shanghai vibes. This 7,000-sq-ft luxury restaurant has the flavours and textures of China’s myriad of regions and interiors feature impeccable design, minimal features, and a stunning sea-facing terrace offering spectacular views of the JBR skyline, and iconic Ain Dubai, the spokeswoman says.
“Natural materials and neutral tones such as polished concrete, solid wood and oak veneer, black matte concrete paint, and black opal quartz stone set the scene; while bold, brightly coloured artworks, soft furnishings, and powder-coated brass gold, make for an interesting visual contrast,” he adds.
Engel & Völkers
A&T Group Interiors has been appointed to provide full office fit-out services to complete the new office expansion of Engel & Völkers. The international real estate brokerage has offices worldwide decked out in largely black-and-white decor with pops of red and clean, minimalist lines.
“The brokerage's new 4,400 sq-ft shell-and-core unit is located next door to its existing office in Golden Mile Galleria on The Palm Jumeirah,” says the spokeswoman. “Our aim for the workplace is to deliver a premium quality office fit-out in accordance with the interior design and specification finalised by the agency's in-house design team – a space that reflects the brand and the way the agents work. The fit-out works focus on the retention of large open spaces, accompanied by isolated sections separated only by high-acoustic-rated glass, the use of clean lines, modern finishes, and quality furnishings.”
In keeping with the Engel & Völkers’ bold palette of black, white, and red, the fit-out will feature exposed ceilings in black for the open working areas, dropped ceilings in white for all closed soundproofed rooms, and touches of red as focal points.
