Damac unveils tower, marks milestones

01 November 2022

Leading UAE luxury project developer Damac Properties has launched ‘Chic Tower’, a 41-storey building located at the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, even as it gears up to award the main contract for its Cavalli Tower, a 70-storey ultra-luxurious building in Dubai Marina overlooking Palm Jumeirah.

Chic Tower currently features exclusive studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as one-bedroom lofts with private terraces. However, Damac said it plans to launch three- and four-bedroom apartments with hydroponic walls and sky pools at a later stage.

Chic Tower grants direct access to the Dubai Canal, panoramic views of the city’s skyline, and access to world-class financial and lifestyle districts, stated the Dubai developer.

On completion, it will be the epitome of design complemented with branded interiors by master-jeweller de Grisogono, it added.

Senior Vice President Niall McLoughlin said: “Our objective with this project goes beyond just fine layouts. Along with its exquisite architecture, Chic Tower encapsulates and advocates for wellness, positivity, and luxurious living. This new development draws its inspiration from the vital need for wellness and self-care, in a fast-paced industrious and demanding world.”

Chic Tower brings together restorative baths, beauty treatments and state-of-the-art sky gyms.

Damac Properties is in the process of awarding the main works package for its Cavalli Tower,  where enabling works are progressing as per schedule with the contractor National Piling Corporation (NPC) almost completing the shoring works as well as 85 per cent of the piling and excavation works.

The contract for the main works package will be awarded as soon as the enabling works get completed, it added.

Launched in September last year, the beach-facing skyscraper located in Dubai Marina will offer residents 71 floors of luxury overlooking the beautiful Palm Jumeirah Island, with ultra-luxury interiors branded by Italian fashion powerhouse Roberto Cavalli.

Cavalli Tower, which has a development value of $545 million, is aimed at setting the highest levels when it comes to luxury property offerings in Dubai, said Damac.

Designed by award-winning architect Shaun Killa – who also created the unique and stunning Dubai Museum of the Future – the Cavalli tower comprises 436 units and is divided into three sections.

The first floors are considered luxury, the middle section of the tower is upper luxury while the top floors offer super luxury features and finishes, said the developer.

Meanwhile, Damac Properties has appointed Danway Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (Danway EME) to carry out the construction of electrical substations at its luxurious, master-planned community Damac Lagoons.

Announcing the contract award, Damac said these substations will be built under the supervision of Energoprojekt Entel Company, a global consultant approved by Dewa.

The first substation, to be completed in 22 months, is located at a close proximity to Hessa Street and once commissioned will have a conversion capacity of 150 MVA, said Damac. The other 132/11kV substation will begin construction soon.

Among other developments, Damac has announced that steady progress is being made on its first community retail project, Ventura Mall, with around 40 per cent of the work fully completed.

Located in Damac Hills, a mega project of the Emirati developer with a community of nearly 10,000 residents, the Ventura Mall is expected to be completed in 2023.

The mall will boast 36 retail stores, which includes 10 food and beverage (F&B) outlets and a supermarket. This supermarket will be the second Spinneys in the Damac Hills community, and will be much bigger in size at 28,600 sq ft.
