Leading UAE developer Azizi has signed an agreement with KEO International Consultants for the masterplan consultancy of its recently acquired 15-million-sq-ft plot of land within Golf District in Dubai South.
As per the deal, Azizi will be the master developer, in charge of constructing the buildings, roads and all infrastructure of the mega AED20-billion ($5.4 billion) mixed-use development featuring luxury villas, residences, commercial and entertainment space.
The newly acquired land is strategically positioned in the emirate’s growth corridor. Situated alongside Emirates Road (E611) within a five-minute drive to Al Maktoum International Airport, also known as Dubai World Central (DWC), the plot is well positioned for a luxury community to be developed, it stated. A key highlight of the project will be a one-of-its-kind 2-km-long air-conditioned, glass-covered, pedestrian-friendly boulevard which will have shopping areas, commercial space and movie theatres as well as restaurants.
With a total gross floor area (GFA) of 24 million sq ft, the project will offer kids’ play areas and ample underground carparking, it stated.
It will also feature schools, its own hospital, cycling and jogging tracks, and a host of leisure amenities.
As per the masterplan, many of the community’s residences and three- to five-star hotels will have direct access not only to the boulevard, but also to its large swimmable crystal lagoon with 3 km of beach-like shores and distinctive water features, and its vast parks with abundant greenery, he noted.
Azizi Developments said it ended 2022 on a high note, having sold a total of more than 6,000 units, worth AED5.6 billion and is now set for handover of 11,000 units across 45 projects in Dubai later this year.
These include projects spread across the first, second and third phases of Riviera, Park Avenue I, II and III in MBR City and Berton in Al Furjan.
With 28.4 million manhours of construction and over 167,000 cu m of concrete having been poured, Azizi has developed more than 3.51 million sq ft of built-up area – a total of 152 floor levels – in 2022, said the developer.
