Reynaers ‘futureproof’ solutions on show

01 April 2023

European aluminium solutions provider Reynaers Aluminium and steel profile systems specialist Forster – both subsidiaries of Reynaers Group – are joining forces on the same exhibition stand for the first time to give visitors at BAU 2023 a view of all the possibilities steel and aluminium can offer in the building sector.

Their central theme focuses on Reynaers Group’s continued efforts to make both building materials more sustainable.

BAU is a leading international trade fair for architecture, building materials and systems, being held in Munich, Germany, this month (April 17 to 22).

Reynaers Group had last year introduced the ‘Reynaers Act’, its sustainability strategy for the next eight years in which it commits to a series of ambitious sustainable objectives. One of the goals is to enable its customers to make greener and more energy-efficient choices for their building projects.

“One of the priorities in our sustainability efforts is to help partners make more ecological choices. We demonstrate our commitment at BAU with the launch of interesting new features,” says Ken Wright, Corporate Sustainability Manager.

A team from Reynaers Middle East, the Bahrain-based regional office of Reynaers, and its customers from the region will be at the event.

At BAU 2023, Reynaers Aluminium will unveil unique sustainable innovations such as DigiTrace, its new digital product passport, which enables quick and easy access to all product data.

“By scanning the QR code on the tag of a particular element, end-users and other stakeholders will be able to access relevant and accurate information about the product,” said Ali Khalaf, Managing Director, Reynaers Middle East. “You can easily check system and technical characteristics or immediately access documents, such as maintenance instructions and the CE passport. In the future, DigiTrace will make circular data, such as featured product materials, readily available. Thus, Reynaers Aluminium increases its transparency about material resources while enabling stakeholders to maintain systems more sustainably.”

Meanwhile, Forster is presenting new developments for applications in interior and exterior areas – including the new window system forster omnia. The profile system has a low Uf value, down to 1.2 W sq m/K. This makes the product suitable for applications in highly thermally insulated façades, says a spokesman for Forster. Much like the tried-and-tested door system, forster omnia windows are 100 per cent recyclable due to the patented technology of the stainless steel insulator, making them particularly interesting for building projects with strict sustainability requirements, he adds.

“For Reynaers Aluminium and Forster, BAU 2023 is the perfect opportunity to get together with all our professional partners and help them bring projects to the next level – especially when it comes to solutions that need to meet increasingly stringent sustainability standards,” said Dominique Schaeken, Chief Marketing Officer at Reynaers Group.

Reynaers Aluminium specialises in the development and marketing of innovative and sustainable aluminium solutions for windows, doors, curtain-walls, sliding systems, sun-screening and conservatories.

Reynaers Group enfolds its several diverse companies in three business units, namely aluminium architectural solutions (Reynaers Aluminium), steel architectural solutions and building products. Founded in 1965, the Reynaers Group is active in more than 70 countries worldwide with 40 subsidiaries and 2,400 employees.
