Six in fray for Kuwait airport operation, maintenance deal

Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has invited prequalified firms to submit bids for the operation, maintenance and development of the country’s international airport including the new passenger terminal (T2), which is under construction, and its affiliated aircraft aprons.

Six companies have prequalified for the project.  They include GMR Airports (India), Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide and Munich Airport International (Germany), Incheon International Airport Corporation (South Korea), TAV Havalimanlari Holding Anonim Sirketi (Turkiye) and Daa International (Ireland), according to a tender notification from Kuwait’s DGCA.

The successful bidder will be responsible for the management of the central operation and maintenance model of Kuwait International Airport as well as all passenger terminals in addition to enhancement of training services and the institutional management.

The deadline for the submission of bids is October 10, stated the tender notification (see Tenders).
