Geberit’s new AquaClean Alba ... “a giant leap towards improving personal hygiene”.

Geberit’s shower toilet has advanced features

01 March 2024

Swiss sanitary solutions provider Geberit has introduced its new AquaClean Alba, which is said to blend seamlessly into any bathroom design and offer all the most important functions of a shower toilet at a very affordable price.

This entry-level model, which will be available from leading retailers across the UAE and Saudi Arabia from next month (April), is a simple, stylish WC complete with spray functionality that ensures perfect personal hygiene after using the toilet.

With its understated elegance, clean lines, and gentle curves, the new AquaClean Alba’s wall-mounted shower toilet by Geberit’s designer-in-chief, Christoph Behling, effortlessly complements any bathroom design, says Margit Pfeifer, Head of Geberit AquaClean. Its visual appeal is evident at first glance, but it’s definitely worth taking a closer look, she adds.

“Those who are thinking of buying a new WC can enjoy the benefits of an elegant and efficient shower toilet for just a small extra cost compared to a conventional toilet,” explains Pfeifer. “Despite being positioned as an entry-level product, the new AquaClean Alba encompasses Geberit’s extensive expertise and incorporates a number of premium features. This includes the WhirlSpray shower technology, which allows the body-temperature water to clean the bottom particularly thoroughly with an invigorating yet delicate shower spray. The rimless AquaClean Alba also features state-of-the-art TurboFlush technology.”

This exceptionally effective flush technology ensures particularly quiet and thorough flushing out of the rimless WC ceramic appliance: water flows into the ceramic from the side during the flushing process to create a spiral motion, and this optimised powerful control of the water flow means the toilet brush is rarely needed, she adds.

The AquaClean Alba can be controlled via a simple and intuitive remote control, which allows users to set the spray intensity. The position of the spray nozzle can be conveniently adjusted via the Geberit Home app.

Design & Manufacture

The design of the AquaClean Alba aligns it seamlessly with the full product range of all Geberit shower toilets, which are also Behling’s work. For this latest addition to the AquaClean product family, he has prioritised a simple and elegant design that ticks all the boxes in terms of high-quality materials while still resembling a normal toilet.

“All of these features are bundled together for an unbeatable price. The shower toilet simply must become a standard feature in any modern bathroom,” insists Pfeifer. “It only takes a small extra step in terms of bathroom planning, but it represents a giant leap towards improving personal hygiene. With the AquaClean Alba, we are offering just the product for that purpose.”

This latest addition to its shower toilet family also seamlessly integrates the company’s extensive expertise. It all starts with efficient manufacturing in a European ceramic facility and mounting at the headquarters in Switzerland. Then comes the easy installation, intuitive operation, and comprehensive service in unmistakeable Geberit style.

The WC ceramic is crafted in a single casting process, unlike the conventional two-stage method. The cleverly designed mould means the AquaClean Alba model does not require a separate cast for the WC trap, saving time, materials and energy, making it a sustainable manufacturing process.

“The new casting process is possible thanks to the addition of a click-in mounting bar for fixing to the wall instead of a ceramic back panel. This patented bar makes installation significantly easier.

“The AquaClean Alba performs its duties to perfection and the most essential spray functionalities can be controlled with the self-explanatory remote control, and additional functions are available via the Geberit Home app,” she concludes.

The globally operating Geberit Group is a European leader in the field of sanitary products and is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2024. It operates with a strong local presence in most European countries and has 26 production facilities, of which four are located overseas. Headquartered in Rapperswil Jona, Switzerland, the group has around 11,000 employees in approximately 50 countries and generated net sales of CHF3.1 billion ($3.51 billion) in 2023.
