In line with the global focus that is now firmly on reducing emissions, Bobcat has recently raised the curtains on its electric telehandler concept for a zero-emission machine.

Bobcat recently unveiled its TL25.60e electric telehandler concept for a zero-emission machine which, according to the company, demonstrates that it is possible to achieve genuinely sustainable operations without compromising performance.
The compact equipment manufacturer showcased its TL25.60e, alongside a host of other models, at Intermat 2024, a leading sustainable construction solutions and technology exhibition, which was held in France in late April.
The Bobcat TL25.60e is still in development and not yet commercially available.
Powered by liquid-cooled batteries, the electric telehandler has a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 2.5 tonnes, matching the performance offered by its diesel-powered equivalent, says Bobcat.
With three separated electric motors designed to maximise efficiency, a hydrostatic transmission to boost performance, a maximum speed of 25 km/h and the same super-compact dimensions as the conventional Bobcat TL25.60 model, the cutting-edge electric concept delivers low noise levels, minimal operating costs and impressive versatility, it adds.
Serge Boyer, Product Manager for Telehandlers, Bobcat EMEA, says: “Just like its diesel-powered counterpart, the Bobcat TL25.60e has been built with versatility at its core. Thanks to its compact footprint, low noise levels and zero-emission operations, this concept telehandler is suitable for a diverse range of applications, including work on confined job sites and in city centres.”
Vijay Nerva, Innovation Lead, Bobcat EMEA, comments: “At Bobcat, we are committed to innovative design that prioritises both cutting-edge technology and operator well-being. Our integration of ergonomics and digitisation, exemplified by the transparent T-OLED screen, allows us to introduce customisable, interactive features without compromising the comfort and spacious design of our cabs. We believe this seamless blend of digital solutions and operator-focused design has the potential to change the future of the construction equipment industry for the better.”
Other advanced machines showcased alongside its TL25.60e concept at Intermat 2024 included mini-excavators, skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, backhoe loaders, compact wheel loaders, ground maintenance units, portable power models, material handling equipment and more.
It also put the spotlight on its updated range of rotary telehandlers for markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), at Intermat. The new line-up of Bobcat rotary telehandlers – featuring the manufacturer’s patented panoramic cab, which offers unrivalled visibility – comprises nine Stage V models with lifting heights of between 18 and 39 m that have been designed for European markets, and four Stage IIIA machines with lifting heights of 18 to 26 m that have been developed for use in the Middle East and Africa.
Other telehandlers and forklifts on show included the TL43.80 Waste Expert, TL25.60, T40.180SLP and TR60.260 telehandlers, the D30S diesel forklift and the B20X electric forklift.
