Geberit AquaClean Sela gets square and trendy

01 July 2024

European sanitary solutions leader Geberit has expanded the design versatility of shower toilets with its AquaClean Sela, which is now available in a sleek, square form alongside the classic round model.

The product is now available at leading retailers across the Gulf and Levant region, says Geberit.

The Geberit AquaClean Sela Square represents a new design option for those who prefer cleaning with water after using the toilet and are looking to elevate their bathroom aesthetic. The collection includes six different design variants.

“The bathroom is the most intimate room in the house. It’s a place where you want to feel comfortable, so it’s important to cater to personal preferences. This is exactly what the AquaClean Sela offers with its unparalleled shower toilet experience,” Christoph Behling, Geberit’s designer-in-chief remarks.

Commenting on what prompted the decision to add a square option to the range, he says: “Square shapes are incredibly prominent in today’s bathrooms, whether it’s the shower tray, the washbasin or the mirror; so a square WC is the obvious next step to complement this contemporary aesthetic. The square WC also offers a slightly larger seat, which many people find more comfortable.”

“This latest addition offers even greater personalisation options in the bathroom and seamlessly complements the rest of the designer shower toilet portfolio,” he adds.

What’s more, the round model can even be ordered in a white matt finish, with additional customisation possible through the selection of design covers. These are available for all models and colour variations in both white and bright chrome-plated finishes.

Functions

All Geberit AquaClean Sela shower toilets have high-quality features. These include the patented WhirlSpray shower technology, which offers pleasant and effective cleaning, and the highly efficient TurboFlush technology in the rimless WC. The AquaClean Sela ensures constant hot water, thanks to its continuous flow heater designed specifically for hard water, as well as an automatic descaling programme.

Further innovative features of the Geberit AquaClean Sela include a discreet light for ease of orientation during the night. An app is also available in addition to a remote control. This transforms a smartphone into a remote control that allows users to save personal settings such as the spray intensity, spray arm position and temperature.

The timeless architectural design of the Sela Square is complemented particularly well by the new floating Geberit Sigma 70 flush plate, which is available in a wide range of high-quality materials and colours, including: glass, stainless steel and black matt coated.

The globally-operating Geberit Group, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, operates with a strong local presence in most European countries. Headquartered in Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland, the group’s production network encompasses 26 production facilities, of which four are located overseas. With around 11,000 employees in approximately 50 countries, Geberit generated net sales of CHF3.1 billion ($3.48 billion) in 2023.
