Hansgrohe, a leading German premium brand for bathroom and kitchen solutions, is now offering its next-generation concealed installation system, the iBox universal 2, in the Arabian Gulf region.

iBox universal was the first universal concealed unit for all standard and thermostatic solutions, matching AXOR and hansgrohe products. The new generation unit combines the proven advantages of its predecessor model and offers enhanced comfort, safety, and flexibility for modern bathrooms.

Designed with installers in mind, the iBox universal 2 simplifies workflows and improves efficiency on construction sites.

The new generation iBox universal is designed to simplify the everyday lives of our most important partners and efficiently improve their workflows so that their customers’ satisfaction also increases.”

Simplified installation steps and new technical refinements make installation even more convenient, faster and safer than before, says Hansgrohe, while also giving the installer more planning security for the installation effort.

The iBox universal 2 boasts several key improvements:

•  Pre-assembly: The function block, carrier rosette, and adapter form a single unit, eliminating the need for screw shortening and adapter calibration. Moreover, the use of tools is minimised.

•  Sliding sleeve: Equipped with a new sliding sleeve for deep installation, the iBox universal 2 fits in easily and without cutting, regardless of the depth at which the flush-mounted body is installed.  A pre-mounted sealing sleeve is tightly connected to the sliding sleeve and is thus automatically an integral part of a watertight installation.

•  New mounting ring: The new concealed unit is suitable for in-wall, on-wall, and in-front-of-wall installations with a flexible basic body adapting to standard wall depths (80-108mm). An extension rosette is available for shallower wall constructions.

•  Easy alignment: An integrated circular level and clear pictorial instructions on the expanded polypropylene box simplify initial alignment.

•  Universal compatibility: Four Rp1/2 connection threads enable the installation of all hand and overhead showers from hansgrohe, regardless of the flow rate. These threads also enable the precision-fit installation of resource-saving showers. Multiple tests and relevant standards guarantee reliable protection against backflow, for example with bath inlet, outlet and overflow fittings.

•  Noise reduction: Sound decoupling of all water-bearing product parts of the iBox universal 2 reduces flowing noises in the bathroom. The iBox universal 2 in combination with the new prefabricated sets for shower and bathtub comply with noise class 1.

 The iBox universal 2 offers compatibility with all hansgrohe prefabricated sets, with an adapter plate available for older lines. This allows for a wide range of design options and personalised bathroom configurations.

With the iBox universal 2, bulky faucet technology continues to simply disappear into the wall, revealing slim and elegant concealed faucets. The pre-assembled functional unit of the pre-fabricated set is made of metal, thus ensuring high stability. 

Hansgrohe is also introducing new mixer solutions alongside the iBox universal 2.  These include:

•  ShowerSelect Comfort Thermostat, which features metal Select buttons for durability and easy cleaning, available in three geometric designs (round, rounded, angular) and five FinishPlus surfaces. It includes integrated flow control with stop function and separate volume control.

•  DuoTurn concealed mixer, which boasts a slim design with intuitive operation. A turning mechanism controls water selection, volume, and temperature, eliminating the need for pulling.  It is also available in a range of FinishPlus surfaces.
