Zamil Steel of Saudi Arabia, the largest steel building company in Asia and Africa, has launched an 'Uncompromised Quality' campaign in the Gulf.
"This campaign has two main objectives," says Muayyad Al Khudairi, vice president of the pre-engineered building (PEB) division of Zamil Steel. "The first is to make our esteemed customers aware that in spite of the increasing competition in our industry, we will never sacrifice quality of product or service."
He continues: "We remain and continue to remain the leading quality steel building manufacturer in the region. Our quality is reflected in the most extensive erection drawings in the industry; our total compliance with the latest US codes that are related to steel buildings as far as design and manufacturing are concerned; and our obsession to offer the highest quality of raw materials and building accessories in the Middle East.
''We are the only pre-engineered buildings (PEB) company whose roof panels are made exclusively using Zincalume coated steel, a zinc and aluminum alloy that is far superior to galvanised substrates when it comes to durability and corrosion resistance.
''We do not use painted but galvanised cable bracing and anchor bolts, thus significantly reducing the risk of corrosion.
''Our valley gutters are 1.5 mm thick Zincalume steel coated with epoxy paint to ensure absolutely no chance of rusting - keeping in mind that valley gutters are one of the areas in a building which are most vulnerable to deterioration.
''We are the only PEB company in the region to 100 per cent comply with the latest American codes and specifications.
''And we are the only PEB company that publishes marketing and technical literature for the sake of ensuring that our customers understand our products and make a good assessment of their steel building."
"The second objective," says Al Khudairi, "is an internal campaign within our company. We are constantly informing our people that our 'quality' obsession originates from our concept of a customer, who is always considered a partner at Zamil Steel. We always make sure that the business interests of all our clients are perceived by our people, at all levels, to be as important to us as they are to our clients."
Zamil Steel says it is well known to have the best before and after-sales service in the steel buildings industry throughout the Middle East and that it is the only steel building company that offers the services of site specialists free-of-charge.
"Last year, our site specialists roamed the world," says Fadi Mujahed, the marketing manager of the PEB division in Saudi Arabia. "Our specialists were readily available at our sites, even in remote countries in North and South America, Europe, Central Asia and China, offering full assistance in building erection. We believe that it is our responsibility to ensure that our customers not only receive the building in good condition at site, but also have it properly erected."
Along with the 'uncompromised quality' campaign, Zamil Steel has also been trying to educate its clientele of the importance of its certified builders and their role in ensuring that the ultimate quality of the steel building is reached with proper erection.
"We consider our certified builders as an extension of our organisation," explains Mujahed. "They are all customer-oriented quality-conscious contractors who are specialised and well prepared to take on erection or turnkey steel building contracts. They are the most knowledgeable contractors, in their markets, on Zamil Steel buildings.

Zamil Steel has more than 60 certified builders in 22 countries worldwide.
The Dammam-based pre-engineered building manufacturer operates three factories in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Vietnam and has supplied more than 25,000 steel buildings to 63 countries worldwide.
