TradeArabia, a leading web portal which provides a total business information service, has recently introduced a unique Request for Quotation (RFQ) service.
This service, which brings buyers and sellers together through direct enquiries distributed to companies on TradeArabia's vast database, is of particular interest to the construction industry in the region and worldwide.
The RFQ facility brings sales leads to companies registered on the portal's TradePartners database, says a spokesman.
TradeArabia, launched in January 2001, provides daily business news and information covering 18 economic sectors, including construction and industry.
TradeArabia's popular daily Business News Update by e-mail keeps subscribers abreast of the latest news.
The portal incorporates a database of more than 200,000 companies operating in the region and internationally. Through this interactive TradePartners component, companies and organisations can update their information online, he adds.
TradeArabia also has a classified advertising forum for the sale and sourcing of products, equipment, manpower, materials and services.
Additionally, TradeArabia also has detailed information on countries in the region.
Apart from the above free-to-use services, the portal offers a Premium Content section which provides daily tenders update, project information, interviews with business leaders and an extended archives.
Another key component of TradeArabia is the free e-mail service, which provides thousands of organisations with the "best business address" in Arabia. "Our e-mail facility provides individuals and companies with the ability to delineate and differentiate business from private and personal e-mail. An address @tradearabia.com clearly means business," the spokesman says.
TradeArabia is part of the Al Hilal Group which publishes a number of magazines and newspapers including Gulf Construction, Gulf Industry, Gulf Economic Monitor (GEM), Oil & Gas News (OGN), Travel & Tourism News (TTN) and Middle East Expatriate.
