Jaw crusher bites into the market

01 JUNE 2002

THE new C-10 compact tracked jaw crusher recently launched by Extec Screens and Crushers has received good response from the market.

The UK-based firm's crusher had its world launch at Conexpo in Las Vegas, US, in March and European launch at the 36th annual SED (Site Equipment Demonstration) exhibition last month.

The company says it has already received orders for the unit.

The C-10 is a crusher designed and tested using the latest computer-aided design (CAD) technology with initial trials being undertaken on a large selection of various types of material in Europe, says a spokesman for the company,

It is a totally new concept in tracked crushing designed to increase production, reduce operating costs and produce a fine product, he says. The crusher is suitable for crushing virtually any material it encounters.

According to the spokesman, the main features of the C-10 are:

  • Diesel hydraulic power with 166 kW / 225 hp engine;

  • Hydraulic transmission without clutches;

  • Jaw size 1,000 by 650 mm encompassing high-speed and geo-crush technology to give very high production while reducing wear;

  • Large vibrating feeder with grizzly and discharge conveyor for fines;

  • Jaw setting hydraulically adjusted;

  • Hydraulic system automatically co-ordinates the flow of material from vibrating feeder to the jaw;

  • Uniquely small closed size setting;

  • Fast track system ensures the clear flow of reinforcing bar when concrete is crushed;

  • Large gap between discharge point of crusher and discharge conveyor eliminates blockages and facilitates cleaning; and,

  • The complete machine raises on its hydraulic legs to facilitate cleaning and servicing of tracks.

    All these features gives the end-user high production, cleaner products and more profit unique in this class of tracked crusher, says the spokesman.
