Union Mosaic and Marble Company (UMMC), a member of Abdulla Al Ghurair Group of Companies, was established in 1978 to process and fix granite, marble and stone works required for interior decoration or exterior landscaping across a broad range of buildings and villas.
Since its inception, the company - a member of the Marble Institute of America - has earned its name in the market as a reputable specialist contractor for marble and granite works, says a spokesman for the Dubai-based company.
'Products of excellent quality were consistently supplied and UMMC became well known for good workmanship, technical expertise and professional service," he claims.
'UMMC has a state-of-the-art computerised processing plant at Ras Al Khaimah, with a capacity to process approximately 100,000 sq m of granite and marble per year," he says.
Over 50 well-trained engineers, supervisors, technicians and operators are available in the factory for the operations of various equipment.
'The company's sales and marketing department has highly trained professionals who can provide valuable technical advice. It also markets innovative and creative design patterns, using a wide variety of natural materials, conforming to the requirements and technical specifications of the clients, consultants and contractors.
'The company has a full-fledged project division with over 125 personnel comprising engineers, supervisors and highly skilled masons focusing on customer expectation and their satisfaction," he adds.
Some of the projects in which the company was recently involved include Dubai Convention Centre, Grand Hyatt's furnished Residence Development, Al Ghurair CIty expansion and refurbishment, Al MusallahTower, National Bank of Umm Al Quwain, Children's City, Internet City, Wafi City Extension, Kuwaiti Consulate, (all in Dubai), Hilton Hotel in Fujairah, Adnoc headquarters, in Abu Dhabi, Etisalat Building in Ajman, Air Defence College in Al Ain, and Al Nahda Towers in Sharjah.
