Portugal-based marble and granite firm PA Stones Group is seeking to boost its presence in the Middle East market.

The unit of Placido Jose Simoes and Alandromar Lda says its products are produced after a stringent selection of materials extracted from the company's own quarries and processed with advanced technology.

PA Stones Group has its factories and quarries at Vila Vicosa, Estremoz and Borba.

The quality of PA Stones' marble and granite has been recognised for many decades. The blocks, polished and sawed slabs and tiles can be tailored to special requirements, designs and dimensions.

"PA Stones is looking to explore the Middle East markets following the success of last year's Big 5 show in Dubai, where the quality of PA Stones' marbles was well received," says commercial director Valter Mendes.

"The Middle East is our main target, being one of the most promising markets in the world today," he adds.

PA Stones is already working in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and is expecting to open new markets in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt.

The development of its business and the group's regular participation at national and international exhibitions has led to successful export campaigns, PA stones says.

Today, following major expansion, PA Stones is represented in several countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.
