Fitco launches new K-Rain products

01 September 2003

US-BASED K-Rain Manufacturing has recently launched several new products on the international market, extending its range of gear-driven sprinklers and sprays to cover all sizes of turf applications.

K-Rain, a leading manufacturer of gear-driven rotors, sprinklers, sprays, controllers and valves for the commercial and residential markets,  has been producing innovative solutions for turf maintenance for almost three decades.
The new K-Rain miniPro rotor is described as being ideal for mid-range watering in radiuses of 5 to 9 m. The K-Rain patented arc-setting mechanism is now offset from the centre on top of this riser and protected from irrigation mishaps by a clutch.
K-Rain's ProPlus now comes in a high pop model with 12-inch riser (30.48 cm) and a shrub head model without canister. Both include standard ProPlus features such as the two-in-one feature for adjustable and full continuous circle rotor in one head and arc-memory recall feature that returns the rotor to the set pattern after it is wrenched out of its arc.
The new ProSport commercial rotor with nozzles from 22 to 106 litres/min (5.9 to 28.5 gallons/min) is suitable  for sport fields and commercial installations with a watering radius ranging from 13 to 20 m. Part circle operation becomes full circle when the arc is set at 360 degrees. ProSport offers arc setting on top of the riser and arc-memory recall feature like the Proplus.
K-Rain products also include many additional and unique features at no additional cost including rugged reliability, backed by a five-year warranty, a wide performance range, ease of operation, patented arc set degree markings for accurate coverage, arc-memory, safety clutch, ratcheting mechanism, easy nozzle removal, 5-inch pop up height, and an adjustable or continuous forward nozzle rotation.
The Pro series 100 electric valve with BSP threaded or slip inlets is another innovation from K-Rain. The installer of this solenoid valve can choose between the inlet as 1-inch female inlet or 1-inch male slip. The straight-through flow path provides low pressure loss and wide flux range.
K-Rain is represented in the Middle East by the Dubai office of UK-based Fitco, a dealer in a wide range of irrigation products in the region.  From its cental warehousing base in the Jebel Ali Free Zone and a network of distributors throughout the Middle East, Fitco offers a wide selection of items to cater for specific project requirements.
