Vinyl premier aims to floor the Gulf
ISO-certified Premier Polyfilm pursues new markets in the Gulf and plans to back its efforts with the launch of new product lines.

Following its success in the UAE, India-based vinyl flooring manufacturer Premier Polyfilm is pursuing other markets in the Gulf and plans to back its efforts with the launch of new product lines in the coming months.
Premier Polyfilm, an ISO 9001:2000 company, has been supplying vinyl floorings to the Gulf market and catering to the demands of the prefabricated building segment since 1995. The company supplies various kinds of floorings such as heavy-duty floorings from PVC, fire-retardant, antistatic, antiskid and conductive floorings apart from a huge range of printed floorings, which they are supplying to the local market,” says Arvind Goenka, CEO at Premier Polyfilm.
Equipped with machines from Europe and the US, Premier Polyfilm supplies products of international quality comparable to established European brands.
“We have been able to secure orders on the merits of good quality with reasonable prices and fast deliveries,” he says.
“Premier, which enjoys good business and acceptability in the UAE market, is actively looking for new partners from other countries as well, where the business potential is equally large,” says Harish Shetty of Dubai-based ASB International, one of Premier’s main agents in the UAE.
“The Polyfloor range of contract flooring is well accepted in the markets of the GCC and the Middle East. The customers know that they are getting a quality, specified product at an extremely reasonable price – especially in comparison with the locally available quartz reinforced floor covering,” he says.
“This factor, coupled with the boom in construction, has enabled us to an appreciable growth in business volumes. Premier has penetrated well into the prefabricated and pre-engineered building segment.
“With the ongoing and ever increasing demand in the prefabricated building segment, Premier Polyfilm has established a foothold on this segment by maintaining its good quality and service to most of the major players,” he adds.
The company has been manufacturing heavy-duty flooring materials for the past 10 years and has an annual production capacity of over four million sq m. While the products are widely distributed within India, the export of these products is also on the rise, he says.
By offering heavy-duty flooring material in rolls and tiles, the company has penetrated well into the prefabricated and pre-engineered building segment. The product also finds application in public places such as offices, showrooms, hotels, hospitals and schools.
Floorings offered by Premier Polyfilm have a random marbling pattern and are ideal for maintaining clean room conditions.
“We can supply custom-made products to meet special requirements in terms of colours, thickness, size and widths,” says Goenka.
One of the specialised products from the company’s stable is the customised flooring for wheeled trolleys weighing more than one tonne. Another fast-selling product is the embossed floor covering with anti-skid properties. Applications for these products include staircases, buses and vans.
Premier also manufactures PVC geomembrane/aqualining, artificial leather cloth and flexible PVC films and sheets suitable for stationery manufacturing, table covers and shower curtains.
