Command Alkon, a leader in the manufacture of batching, dispatching, mobile signalling and accounting solutions, is well-poised to participate in the construction growth taking place in Dubai and the Gulf region, by partnering with RMC.
“Our readiness to take on the challenge is reflected in the Dubai International Airport expansion scheduled for completion in 2006,” says a spokesman for the company.
RMC has been using Command Alkon’s Spectrum in its local operations as well as on the onsite batching plants supplying the Dubai International Airport expansion project. “The Spectrum is one of the most advanced and reliable batching systems in the marketplace today,” claims the spokesman.
Its standard PC technology, flexibility, remote batch capabilities and easily upgradeable system make it RMC’s choice for its batching operations. During the airport expansion project, RMC plans to batch more than 2.4 million cu m of concrete with the Command Alkon Spectrum, he adds.
Command Alkon Incorporated develops, markets and supports software and hardware products for construction materials producers including readymix concrete, aggregate, and asphalt producers.
RMC is the world’s largest supplier of readymixed concrete, producing an average of 55 million cu m of concrete per year through its global operations. RMC’s local subsidiaries include Topmix in Dubai, Supermix in Abu Dhabi, Falcon Cement in Jebel Ali and Gulf Quarries in Fujairah.
Both Command Alkon and RMC are committed to work in the UAE and the rest of the Gulf and look forward to future developments within the region, the spokesman adds.
