Leading material handling equipment manufacturer TCM Corporation is said to have improved all aspects of safety in its new Dynamic J Line forklift series by revamping the safety features on its popular range of forklifts.
“More than ever before, TCM has pursued the ideal of increasing safety in its forklift designs,” says Abdullah S Al Ali, general manager of Aljomaih heavy equipment division, the distributor of TCM in Saudi Arabia.
The improved features include new side supports and seat belt for the Dynamic J Line’s seat, which has a suspension system that secures the operator in the seat in a stable position. In addition, the wider forward view adds to considerable safety and visibility for the operator. All these contribute to improved productivity and reduced operator fatigue, he says.
“These powerful, easy-to-operate, and versatile forklift trucks have a fresh appearance and perform jobs extremely well in any environment or situations,” says Al Ali. “The new designs have taken into consideration factors of comfort and easy handling, which are crucial for forklift drivers engaged in long hours of operation. The design of the levers, pedals and seat received special consideration in the new diesel and gasoline powered J Line series to ensure greater operator comfort.”
The one to 1.8-tonne models have been fitted with a 30 per cent wider mounting step to increase comfort while stepping on and off the trucks. A new cylinder allows a one-touch operation for fully opening the hood, which is also equipped with an automatic air spring for improved safety. A compact knob enables easy brake release, while the parking brake comes fitted with a safety lock.
“The new features of the J Line contributes easier operation, allowing even inexperienced operators to safely and efficiently drive these lift trucks with greater comfort and less fatigue,” he adds.
“Breakthrough innovations in the one to three-tonne J Line electric forklifts include the new electric shift lever, hanging brake pedals, compact hood release, easy-to-operate dual-purpose light switch, a seat suspension system with safety belt and armrest, shock-absorbing cylinders and other features to enhance operator’s comfort and machine’s reliability and safety,” says Al Ali
“These new TCM models are made with high tensile pressed frame, contributing to their light and strong body structure. Innovative aluminium radiator and larger air intake also contributes to the reliability and longer life of the engine,” he adds.
Aljomaih also represents Iveco Spa, Case New Holland, Merlo and Nardi of Italy, Claas and MTU of Germany, Tacom of Japan, Nokka-Turne of Finland, Perkins of the UK and Arcusin of Spain.
The firm sells a wide range of generator sets and engines, wheel loaders, dozers and graders, concrete mixers, vibratory compactors and asphalt rollers, forklifts and telescopic handlers, marine container straddle carrier and telescopic spreaders and a range of agricultural equipment to the Saudi market.
