Ausa unveils new multi-service truck

01 December 2004

Ausa has just unveiled its new model DV50, a multi-service truck that provides a unique response to the needs of a wide variety of industries.

“We have just launched a vehicle that is unlike any other on the market,” states a spokesman for Ausa, who is convinced that the DV50 will spark a revolution in the multi-service vehicle sector.
“Finding a better truck than the DV50 will not be easy,” states Enric Rabassa, the leader of the team that created this machine. Ausa commissioned the services of the Italian studio, Industrial Design, to design its new DV50.
This vehicle forms part of Ausa’s new multi-service range, developed and perfected at the Spanish manufacturer’s plant over a number of years. “The success of this new range is due, in great measure, to the many years of effort invested in it,” states Rabassa.
Professionals are discovering that this truck is an “intuitive, easy-to-drive machine that is capable of overcoming obstacles even if the driver is not an expert,” he adds.
“These qualities were among the basic goals of the project,” he says. “Another main objective was to create a vehicle that was not already available on the market. The result is a workhorse able to carry out a virtually unlimited variety of tasks.”
The DV50 responds to needs in such diverse sectors as construction, forestry, farming, and leisure management including ski and golf facility upkeep, among many others. Its extreme versatility enables it to meet the demands of many of today’s industries -  at the same time, it is truly unique, he says.
“We have beat our competitors to the mark once again,” says Rabassa and continues.“We expect to see imitations in a few years. But we are sure of being years ahead of the rest, by then.”
Ausa (Automoviles Utilitarios), founded in 1956 in Barcelona, Spain, is a leading manufacturer of a range of transport equipment. The company manufactures site dumpers up to four tonnes, all terrain forklifts up to 3.2 tonnes, automatic cement mixers (up to 1 cu m), apart from street sweepers and multi-service vehicles, he says.
A market leader in its sector, with sales of more than 68 million Euros, the company has an increasingly international profile. Ausa has its head office in Manresa, along with its production facility of more than 23,000 sq m. In addition, the company has subsidiaries in Coslada (Madrid), Perpignan (France), Rochdale (UK), Dusseldorf (Germany), Beijing (China) and Miami (US).
Ausa sells its products in more than 70 countries and exports more than 35 per cent of the machines that it manufactures. The quality of Ausa products is certified by the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 international standards, he concludes.
