Al Bakhit Construction Equip-ment, a Dubai-based leading equipment supplier of tower cranes, passenger hoists and flake ice plants for the construction sector, has introduced state-of-the-art Sany trailer-mounted and mobile concrete pumps in the UAE market.

‘‘This trailer-mounted static pump is the latest from Sany, one of the top manufacturers of concrete pumps and other equipment from China and has been an immediate success with the construction companies,’’ says Al Bakhit sales and marketing manager Paul Austin-Price. ‘‘Tried and tested in various parts of the world, both the 48 m mobile pumps and heavy-duty static pumps are  robust, reliable and highly efficient.’’
‘‘We had brought eight static pumps just recently, and all of them were sent to sites within days. The reliability and efficiency is what has made them a popular choice with the construction companies in the UAE. Already, mobile concrete pumps from Sany are performing exceptionally well in the field and we are sure the trailer-mounted pumps will give Sany’s reputation a further boost in the region,’’ he adds.
Price continues: “Sany trailer-mounted pumps are the only concrete delivery pumps that have passed the overloading experiment test modelling the actual working situations. These pumps come in different specifications, serving the exact needs of the users. The pumps are designed for the construction of demanding projects such as super-high structures, tunnels and bridges.”
Al Bakhit has also recently launched an equipment-rental facility as well. “The cost of equipment such as concrete pumps is huge and sometimes construction companies like to avoid large capital outlay. We have provided them this facility of short-term lease which is receiving good response from the market,” Price explains.
He is optimistic about the growth of business in the coming years. “Construction activity is bound to increase with so many projects being announced. We have experienced double-digit growth during the past few years and are expecting to grow further in 2005,” he comments.
Price also attributed the products and services provided by the company and its long history of operation in the UAE as major factors for continuous growth.
‘‘We have always brought out the most innovative products and today can boast the best service and maintenance centre in our Al Quoz facilities. Our long list of satisfied customers speaks volumes about our service back-up and the quality of the products we market here,’’ he concludes.
