Precast Concrete

Spancrete launches informative website

01 October 2005

US-based Spancrete Group has put together a website that now offers architects, contractors, educators and students in the construction industry, all that they ever needed to know about precast and prestressed concrete at the click of a mouse.

The firm’s website www.spancrete.com, is the latest, most comprehensive source for technical and design-related information for people within the construction industry and apart from being loaded with useful information it is updated as well, says a company spokesman.
“Architects, engineers and other industry professionals are busy people. When they’re preparing an important bid and a question comes up, they need information ASAP,” says Roger Becker, vice president – Spancrete Precast Division. “In our commitment to quality and service, we designed and developed a website that was filled with an abundance of resources, all available in their timeframe.”
Designed for ease-of-use, the website is categorised by types of industry professionals – architects, builders, single-family homeowners, among others – so that they can quickly access the information most important to them. Visitors can also search for information by products and resources, the spokesman adds.
spancrete.com also provides access – direct from the home page – to downloadable resource files including AutoCAD connection details, Spancrete specifications and load tables, research notes, span notes, finish guides, photo gallery, case studies, product literature and manuals and PCI designer notebooks.
The site also provides direct access to Spancrete’s in-house design and engineering and sales professional at offices in Waukesha and Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the Spancrete Group is a leading provider of precast concrete products to the construction industry. A third-generation, family-owned company, Spancrete is an industry pioneer and is committed to being the most responsive partner and innovative provider of precast products and solutions, says the spokesman.
Spancrete Group operates four precast concrete plants in Wisconsin and Illinois, Spancrete Machinery Corporation in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and American Concrete Pipe Company in Green Bay and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. All Spancrete facilities are PCI certified and supply precast concrete products to the entire Midwest region, he concludes.
