Cuicina, a leading India-based kitchen and bathroom accessories manufacturer gears up to take the Middle East market by storm.

Having received an excellent response at last year’s Big 5, Cuicina – the India-based kitchen accessories manufacturer – is all set to make its mark in the Middle East market with its innovative and superior quality steel kitchen, wardrobe and bathroom accessories.
The Big 5 show marked the launch of Cuicina in the region and the show generated a lot of interest among the serious buyers from across the region and beyond, says Antony Varghese, general manager of Homewide, a newly-formed company under the banner of Mohammad Hareb Al Otaiba Group – which represents the firm in the UAE market.
Cuicina has successfully penetrated and progressively acquired a sizeable share in domestic Indian market.
“At last year’s show we have received more than 130 potential inquiries from across the GCC, Iran and Northern Africa. We are following them and waiting for the initial stocks to arrive and soon we expect to be breaking deals across the region,” says Varghese.
The determination and continuous perseverance of the Cuicina team to offer innovative solutions in stowing and managing kitchen spaces has made it a forerunner and one of the fastest-growing companies in its sector. The name Cuicina is derived from the Italian word ‘Cucina’ which means kitchen. The company launched operations in 2000 to fill a gap in the quality kitchen accessories market in India, which was dominated by imported brands of mild steel chrome-plated baskets, says Varghese.
Cuicina’s keenness to offer innovative solutions to customers has led it to invest in research and development, which has enabled the company to offer one of the widest ranges of stainless steel kitchen, wardrobe and bathroom accessories in the world.
“The products are a result of continuous and exhaustive research carried out by Cuicina’s R&D team, which includes members of the top management, experienced engineers and technicians. Nevertheless, feedback received from the clients also prompts the team to redesign and constantly evolve the product to make it more user-friendly,” he says.
Homewide, which is marketing a number of leading international brands, has set up two of its brand new showrooms in Dubai at Al Nasr Square and Etihad Road while the third will be completed this month in a prime location along Sheikh Zayed Road.
“The whole Cuicina range will be available to our discerning customers from these three exclusive outlets,” Varghese adds.
Elaborating on the company, Varghese says: “At Cuicina, the manufacturing process is meticulously planned and executed, right from the state of initial raw material procurement to the final finished goods packing stage. The plant boasts a 30,000 sq ft shop-floor area and a 100-plus trained and skilled technical team. The accessories are fabricated using the most apt methods and the latest machinery and production is carried out with keeping the environmental safety aspect in mind.
“Quality is an intrinsic factor for Cuicina, which is poised to acquire ISO 9000:2000 certification shortly. Very strict process and quality assurance guidelines have been laid down and adherence to the same is monitored and controlled at every stage to ensure only quality products roll out of Cuicina plants. These world-class accessories are manufactured of superior stainless steel 304 grade (or 18/8 grade), which is primarily non-rusting and conforms to all food-grade requirements. Hence, Cuicina confidently provides a lifetime warranty for these accessories.”
All these factors have combined to make Cuicina, a brand to reckon with, Varghese concludes.
