Notifier, a world-leading manufacturer of engineered and commercial fire alarm systems, has introduced Notify-IP Mass Notification, a vital communication system that can generate live and direct voice instructions for property and life preserving actions through the Internet to single or multiple locations worldwide in the event of a fire, security alert or other emergency.

 “In the event of an emergency, the Notfy-IP delivers mass notification or paging citywide, nationwide or worldwide through the Internet and transmit instructions throughout a single large facility as well as across multiple facilities worldwide using an IP network connection,” says a spokesman for the US-based manufacturer. “With Notify-IP, each network IP connection is continuously monitored for system integrity and reliability during an emergency. To further assure message quality, all command and voice messages are encrypted for security purposes.”
Site connections are set up in Notify-IP for either paging or monitoring, with a gateway IP address for the destination of the voice messages. Paging zones are then created at the Notifier Onyx Works or Network Control Stations (NCS) PC. Multiple, exclusive zones can be created for an entire building, each wing or individual floor through this system, the spokesman explains.
“The Notify-IP is user-friendly and the operator just has to select the desired paging location and activate the “start paging” button. Sending a message is as easy as two key presses and speaking into the microphone. Notify-IP then displays a ‘detailed events’ window to provide zone and speaker status from all nodes activated by the paging command. Message delivery and receipt are also confirmed at each paging location.  Thus the building occupants can take appropriate actions for the specific situation that they face,” he points out.
