Liechtenstein-based Hilti has introduced a new multifunctional cordless tool that is designed to handle a variety of demanding drilling and screw-driving jobs.

DRILLING 10 mm holes in masonry with the new SFH 151-A is like drilling through butter and even 5 mm steel plate can be bored through with bits of up to 13 mm in diameter, according to the Hilti Regional Office, which has introduced the multifunctional tool in the UAE market.
“This new cordless wonder from Hilti gives the impression of almost endless power, making it a pleasure to work with,” states Joseph Leo, market segment manager at the Hilti Regional Office for Middle East and South Asia.
“The SFH 151-A simply keeps on hammer drilling, hole sawing and screw driving without tiring, long after the user begins to think it must surely be time for recharging,” he adds.
Providing the highest torque and best speed for tools in the 15.6-volt class, this new hammer drill/driver is designed for demanding drilling and screw driving work, he says.
“Perfect coordination of these two characteristics ensures optimum power transfer for the job on hand, resulting in the exceptionally high performance users have come to expect of a Hilti tool,” says Leo. “This has been made possible by its advanced, new high-performance motor and extremely efficient all-metal planetary gearing.”
Unmistakable design
He continues: “Whether it is drilling in softwood with a 26 mm auger bit, driving 8 by 80 mm screws in wood or cutting 10 cm holes with a hole saw, this cordless hammer drill/driver stops at virtually nothing and quickly becomes a favourite among users.
“Hilti’s decades of experience of the construction trades is reflected in the design of this user-friendly tool: its ideally balanced T-grip form and generously-sized soft grip surfaces ensure maximum comfort and top productivity.”
Quick charge
In addition to the SFH 151-A cordless hammer drill/driver, Hilti has also introduced a cordless “thoroughbred” drill/driver of the same voltage – the SF 151-A. Offering a torque of 12 Nm, finely controllable in 15 settings, this tool also knows virtually no limits, he claims.
“Thanks to its fully adjustable side handle, the SF 151-A can be kept safely under control with ease. Both new tools are supplied complete with the well-proven C7/24 charger, which is capable of fully charging a 2.0 Ah NiCd battery in less than 30 minutes. Its advanced electronics ensure an even flow of current to the battery cells for maximum charging efficiency at all times,” Leo points out.
These two cordless newcomers, like all Hilti tools, come complete with Hilti Lifetime Service. Hilti provides this comprehensive, top-class service for the entire life of the product – free of charge for the first year from date of purchase – including repair or replacement of defective parts. After that, Hilti continues to prove the quality of its products by setting a repair cost limit - for the entire life of the product.
“That’s not just reassuring to know, it’s unique in the power tools business,” Leo asserts. The Lifetime service package for Hilti tools launched region-wide last April, ensures maximum cost control for the industry.
Hilti, a global leader in systems and solutions for the professional construction sector, offers its customers total control on the maintenance of Hilti tools while underscoring the quality of the product, he concludes.
