The multi-disciplinary Saad Group will be making its debut at gulfBID primarily to increase awareness in the region about its well-diversified portfolio of services.
The Saudi-headquartered group enfolds more than 37 companies specialised in various fields of interest, which are spread across the world. The group employs a staff of more than 12,000 people worldwide, and is privately owned and operated. It owes its origins to Saad Trading and Contracting Company, formed to undertake contracts for the improvement of the Jeddah infrastructure in the Western Province of Saudi Arabia in the mid-1980s.
Today, Saad remains an active participant in infrastructure and beautification projects for the municipality of Jeddah and has undertaken extension works to the King Faisal University and numerous other building and civil engineering projects throughout Saudi Arabia.
Over the years, the Saad Group’s exponential growth in these sectors has earned it a place among the top seven diversified companies in Saudi Arabia, the top 23 in the entire Gulf region, says a spokesman for the group. The Saad Group has plans to expand into other GCC countries, to further propel its growth in the areas it is active in, including design and construction for turnkey projects, architectural and interior design, residential development, light industry, healthcare, education, travel and tourism, information technology, training and charitable works.
Its Architectural and Interior Design Division comprises a team of 45 architects and interior design specialists, all of whom are qualified in their various areas of expertise. The division carries out interior design projects from inception to completion of execution drawings including three-dimensional renderings and 4D presentations. Its teams are currently engaged in the design of a number of high-profile Saad Group projects, which include hospitals, office and educational buildings, luxury villas, recreational developments, spas and boutiques.
The interior design team is supported by an Interior Fit-Out Division, which has around 1,000 staff comprising highly-qualified architects and engineers, together with experienced artisans and draftsmen. The division is equipped with a number of workshops to support is activities including:
• Marble cutting and polishing;
• Furniture manufacturing, including carpentry, carving, painting and upholstery;
