Increased productivity, greater financial rewards and faster cycle times are a few of the benefits that leading construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar promises with its new loader series.

The recent introduction of Caterpillar's H series wheel loaders into the Gulf's construction arena by Sharjah-based Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar, the dealer for the versatile Caterpillar machines in the region, is translating into faster cycle times, increased productivity and fiscal rewards.
The four new H-series loaders – the 950H, 962H, 966H and 972H – feature Cat engines with Advanced Combustion Emission Reduction Technology (Acert) Technology for Tier 3 emissions compliance.
“These key feature changes have led to enhanced productivity and reduced owning and operating costs,” says Peter Allan, core and growth industry manager at Al-Bahar’s general office.
A new load-sensing hydraulic implement system in the Cat engines of the new loaders, which is proprietary to Caterpillar, works more efficiently for improved fuel benefits of up to seven per cent and a 20 per cent increase in lift force over the previous models, he says. This means faster cycle times and increased productivity.
Along with improved efficiency, the H-series wheel loaders also feature enhanced operator comfort, serviceability and reliability.
“Caterpillar designers have paid special attention to the layout of the operator’s immediate working environment and a new self-cleaning, left side ladder with a five-degree incline makes getting into the cab a lot more easier,” he points out. “Like its predecessors, the new H-Series wheel loaders feature the largest cabs and window area in the industry for comfort and excellent visibility.”
Key changes include electro-hydraulic implement controls with simultaneous lift-and-tilt capabilities, a five-degree forward-inclined left access ladder, a new cooling system, centralised hydraulic and electric service centres for improved maintenance and ground level access to daily and regular maintenance.
The H-series has successfully undertaken 100,000 hours of testing and use the proven components from previous models.
Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar has offices spread throughout the Middle East in Kuwait, Qatar, Oman (Oasis Trading and Equipment Company), Bahrain and three branches in the UAE.
