Doka, which has established a firm footing in the regional construction market and is currently on a vigorous international expansion,  has recently opened the Doka Forum in Amstetten, Austria, which showcases the latest and most compreshensive formwork technology on a floor space of 2,500 sq m.

The exhibition and training centre features original exhibits and a special training space to familiarise customers, staff and other interested parties on how safe, efficient and fast Doka formwork is to operate.
Here, impressive self-climbing formwork systems like the ones used on the Burj Dubai can be watched 'in action' from close quarters by visitors around the globe.
“With new markets being opened up in rapid succession, high-calibre servicing of a growing number of clients, and continual enlargement and enhancement of its personnel and production capacity around the world, Doka has responded by investing by expanding its facilities including the setting up of the Doka Forum,” says Stefan Pruckmayr, press relations officer of Doka.
The Doka Forum offers ideal surroundings for providing training to customers, staff and other interested parties and for keeping them informed on the latest generation of formwork technology. A walk-around tour of the Forum acquaints visitors with the many different areas of application of Doka system formwork. In between each of the various product fields, there are several interactive displays to inform visitors on the Doka brand, its product and service range and its core areas of expertise.
The Doka Forum is expected to draw more than 5,000 people a year, from all over the world, to the various events to be held there.
In its training events, Doka places very great emphasis on combining theory and practice – which is why the Doka Forum also contains a 500 sq m of training space. The theoretical content-matter of the Doka courses is imparted to participants in training rooms fitted out with the latest multimedia infrastructure. Experienced professionals from the construction industry join with the formwork experts from Doka to inform participants on innovations and the most efficient formwork solutions in the building-construction and civil-engineering fields, passing on their knowledge and practical experience on such special topics as bridges, tunnels, fair-faced concrete, safety and climbing technology.
Doka keeps construction companies throughout the world supplied with safe, fast and efficient formwork solutions and services, while continuing to develop and deliver customised formwork solutions to some of the most prestigious projects in the world. As one of the world’s premier companies in all areas of formwork technology, the company’s revenues are expected to reach €835 million ($1,225.59 million) this year, with an export ratio of over 90 per cent.
With the demand for modern concrete formwork systems on the rise over the last few years, Doka is currently setting new dimensions for itself in sales and production. This is mainly due to the overall growth in construction industry demand, and – in a number of markets – to the substitution of system formwork in place of conventional formwork. With its expansion strategy, the Doka Group is working to win extra market share and to boost revenues to well over €1 billion euros by 2010. This growth strategy also provides for a substantial investment budget for expanding both Doka’s worldwide distribution network and its production capacity.
To achieve even greater proximity to customers, Doka is determinedly continuing the build-out of its direct sales organisation and in many new markets, it is establishing subsidiaries with generous warehousing space so that Doka customers can be sure of enjoying prompt equipment availability, and fast equipment reconditioning service, anywhere in the world.
In order to ensure that its products are of consistently high supply availability and quality, Doka sets great store by having its own highly efficient in-sourced production capability. Industrial processing of wood, wood-plastic composites, steel and aluminium, with subsequent surface treatment, is the core competence of Doka's production.
By investing in a new training and exhibition centre, Doka is responding to the great increase in the need for training and instruction among its customers, employees and other interested parties. To continue ensuring both swift availability and top quality on all its formwork products well into the future, Doka is making huge investments in strengthening its sales capacity, and in state-of-the-art production facilities. It also has a globe-spanning sales network, with more than 100 branches in over 60 countries, and is staffed with more than 5,000 employees who support construction firms around the globe by giving them the ideal formwork solution in every single case.
