Mabani completes RAK facility

Mabani Steel, a leading designer, manufacturer and erector of pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB) and hot-rolled steel structures (HRRS), has announced the completion of its hot-rolled fabrication facility at its 124,000 sq m factory site in Ras Al Khaimah.

In a bid to enhance its market penetration, the company is now planning to expand its sales network across the Gulf with new offices in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Doha (Qatar), and in Bahrain.
“The addition of hot-rolled fabrication enables us to undertake the supply of heavy steel building projects that often require both hot-rolled members and built-up members. Such buildings include rolling mills, petrochemical complexes, cement factories, power plants, equipment supporting structures, pipe racks plus many oil and gas-related structures,” says Muayyad Khudairi, president of Mabani Steel.
He continues: “We believe that we have the best structural steel design team in the UAE. We have the software and technical know-how to economically design any PEB steel structure or hot-rolled steel structure. Our strength lies in our ability to produce very economical designs while complying with the latest US certification codes and all customer requirements.”
The company has a design/estimating department comprising of 11 engineers and three draftsmen as well as an engineering department comprising of 19 design engineers and 38 steel detailers/checkers. The firm claims to have the fastest cycle time for quotations and approval drawings in the PEB industry, and prides itself on providing comprehensive quotations with detailed proposal drawings that are fully compliant with customer drawings and specifications. Any deviation or assumption is clearly noted in the proposals to eliminate any conflict after contract signing, he says.
Mabani Steel claims to have one of the most technologically-advanced steel blasting and painting equipment in the Middle East.
“All our built-up and hot-rolled members are shot blasted, unlike our competitors who use the scrub brushing and solvent cleaning method.
“We have constructed a 5,000 sq m building specifically for blasting and painting purposes, ensuring that our painting quality is unaffected by the weather conditions. We have also custom-designed our blasting and painting equipment in coordination with experts. We extend an invitation for all quality-conscious customers and consultants to visit our blasting and painting facility to realise how different it is from other so-called automated systems,” Khudairi comments.
Mabani Steel has a large number of existing sales offices throughout the Gulf located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, Muscat in Oman and Riyadh and Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia and welcomes inquiries from general contractors, consultants, specialised PEB contractors and owners and developers of construction projects across the Gulf.
