The Dubai Municipality (DM) has recently issued a licence to construct three high-rise buildings in Emirates Hills 2 at an overall cost of Dh380 million ($103.47 million). The National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi University to supply district cooling services to the university’s new campus in Khalifa City of Abu Dhabi. The campus is being erected over a 4 million sq ft area at a cost of approximately Dh200 million ($54.5 million).

Damac Properties has awarded a Dh21 million ($5.71 million) contract to Abu Dhabi-based APCC, a leading piling company in the UAE, to conduct piling works on the 82-storey Ocean Heights development located within the upscale Dubai Marina. The piling will reach a depth of 50 m, one of the deepest ever in the UAE.

Aldar Properties has shortlisted four contractors to undertake dredging and reclamation work on its $14.7 billion Al Raha Beach development. The shortlisted firms include: Van Oord Gulf, Dredging International, National Marine Dredging, and Boskalis Westminster Middle East.
