The recent introduction of Caterpillar's H series wheel loaders into the Gulf's construction arena by Sharjah-based Mohamed Abdulrahman Al-Bahar, the dealer for the versatile Caterpillar machines in the region, is translating into faster cycle times, increased productivity and fiscal rewards.

Volvo Construction Equipment has expanded its range of general-purpose wheel loaders in the market with the launch of three new models – the L60F, L70F and L90F – taking the total number of models within the category to 11.

While the US compact tracked loader market has expanded dramatically over the last five years and is expected to increase further from 23,000 units in 2005 to reach 33,000 by the close of 2010, experts forecast that a similar growth could be expected for the Middle Eastern market as well, especially with more and more manufacturers joining the fray
