THE Ministry of Public Works in the UAE has joined forces as a lead partner with Intermat Middle East to continue its pursuit of infrastructure excellence. The initiative comes shortly after the UAE was ranked first regionally and 11th globally for the availability of transport infrastructure in the Global Enabling Trade Report 2012.






DOOSAN Infracore Construction Equipment will line up during this year’s Intermat Middle East 2012, a new range of products that specially cater to the regional and African markets. A wide range of new Doosan Heavy and Bobcat products will be displayed for the first time at the exhibition to be held in Abu Dhabi.






THE stage is set for the third edition of the Power + Water Leaders’ Forum in Abu Dhabi this month, as leading Middle East experts prepare to discuss sustainable best practices and innovative business solutions across the regional water and energy sectors.

OMAN will spotlight its growing infrastructure potential at an exhibition to be held in Muscat this month (October 2 to 4). Infra Oman 2012, now in its second edition, will take place at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on an area of 5,000 sq m.






THE growing importance of the UAE’s primary aluminium industry in the global market was once again highlighted, thanks to the joint presence of Dubai Aluminium (Dubal) and Emirates Aluminium (Emal) at the MBI 2012, the 27th international aluminium conference organised and hosted by Metal Bulletin in Moscow, Russia, last month (September 12 to 14)






A NEW stone fair called MediStone Expo is to be held in Bari, Italy, next year. The event, which is being organised by CarraraFiere in co-operation with EffeEvents, will represent a meeting point for the Italian natural stone industry and the local market which is demonstrating high vitality.
