AS PART of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plans to boost its aviation infrastructure, work is progressing at a fast pace on the new Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, with the first phase expected to be complete in the first quarter of 2015.

THE emerging aerotropolis around Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, UAE, along with the nearby Expo 2020 site, is set to play a crucial role in the long-term evolution of the emirate’s economy as it draws interest from industrial occupiers, according to leading real estate consultancy Cluttons.

CONSTRUCTION work was  launched on Istanbul’s third and the world’s biggest airport, with a ground-breaking ceremony last month (June 7).
