THE UK-headquartered Carillion has signed a contract to deliver a state-of-the-art medical facility with the largest outpatient centre in Saudi Arabia, adding yet another high-profile project to its extensive Middle East portfolio which has expanded considerably over the past year.

DRAKE and Scull International (DSI) says its subsidiary Drake and Scull Engineering (DSE) has won two major contracts for the Saraya Aqaba Resort, a mixed-use, themed development around a man-made lagoon in Aqaba, Jordan.

GEOMETRICA, a global company for designing and building domes and free-form structures for architectural and industrial applications, is promoting its trademarked Freedome system, which was used to build a first-of-its-kind waste management facility in the Gulf. The facility is claimed to be largest composting plant in the world.
