The Louvre Abu Dhabi marked a major milestone last month, completing the installation of its 7,000-tonne dome.






Abu Dhabi conglomerate Al Jaber Group has won a Dh2.57-billion ($699.8 million) contract to build 40 residential build-ings for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc). The project includes 1,920 residential units for the state-owned oil company’s staff in Ruwais, a township 240 km from Abu Dhabi.

Dubai is set to join the ranks of major global cosmopolitan cities when it flags off its own tram network this month. Following successful trial operations, Dubai’s new tram system will be officially launched on November 11 as the first tramway project outside Europe to be powered by a ground-based electric supply system along the track.
