Besix has launched its 3D concrete printing studio in Dubai, UAE, providing the region with an innovative solution for construction.

The UAE’s largest sewage treatment plant (STP) built by Larsen & Toubro for the Dubai Municipality was inaugurated recently.  The 375,000-cu-m-per-day sewage treatment plant at Jebel Ali (Phase Two)  was built along with JV partners, Besix, and is the biggest such plant constructed by L&T.

In a major move, leading global energy and services group Engie has taken over Cofely Besix Facility Management (CBFM) after acquiring the remaining 50 per cent of the shares formerly held by Belgian construction major Besix. The new entity has now been rebranded as Engie Cofely.

Al Ali Construction & Development, which is based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, has been appointed as main contractor to undertake the construction, infrastructure and landscape work of the Dh500-million ($136 million) Marbella Villas project by the developer, RAK Properties.
