King Salman Energy Park (Spark), the region’s only integrated energy hub, is gearing up to see the completion of work on the SR6-billion ($1.6 billion) first phase of infrastructural development of the massive 50-sq-km site.

Construction work has commenced on a new non-metallics production facility which is being jointly developed by Saudi Aramco and Baker Hughes at King Salman Energy Park (Spark). Initially, the facility will produce onshore non-metallic pipelines – including reinforced thermoplastic pipes (RTP) – from composite materials.

The Eastern Province Municipal authorities have begun the tendering process for an ambitious public-private-partnership (PPP) waterfront project to be developed on a sprawling 60,960-sq-m area along Al Khobar Corniche, a key location in the Saudi city.
