Acwa Power, a leading developer, investor and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants, has announced the financial close for the 1,500 MW Sudair solar plant, a key project under the Public Investment Fund (PIF) renewable energy programme.






Saudi Arabia has announced several infrastructure and development projects worth more than SR12.6 billion ($3.4 billion) in the Tabuk region, reported Arab News, citing a senior official.






Abu Dhabi future energy company Masdar says, along with EDF Renewables, it has produced the first carbon-free megawatt-hours (MWh) of energy at Dumat Al Jandal wind project. The 400MW facility, the largest wind farm in the Middle East and the first in Saudi Arabia, is now connected to the grid.






Roshn, a national community developer fully owned company by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced that Roshn Riyadh, its first residential community in the capital featuring over 30,000 private homes, has been renamed as Sedra (Arabic for endurance).






Aecom, a leading global infrastructure consulting firm, said it has been signed up by Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) to deliver project management and leadership training to the local community of AlUla region, thus supporting RCU’s strategic mission to develop the region’s human capital and build a thriving economy.






Spanish infrastructure major Acciona has announced that it has secured the main contract worth €337 million ($398 million) for the Jubail 3B Independent Water Plant (IWP) in Saudi Arabia.






Saudi Arabia has handed over more than 900 new housing units within Al Wajah suburbs in Dammam to citizens under its ambitious Sakani housing programme.  These include 649 out of 674 residential units under Nasaj Town project and 286 out of 728 units under Mad project in the Eastern Province.
