Saudi Arabia has launched several multi-billion-dollar projects over the recent years.  Here is an update on these projects: Neom: The $500-billion Neom has been captivating worldwide interest with some of most unexpected and awe-inspiring project launches since the $500-billion futuristic megacity was announced in October 2017.






An army of some 19,500 workers are currently engaged on multiple fronts at the ambitious Red Sea Project, including on the Coastal Village, the utilities, and the stunning resorts that will host the first tourists that step into this 28,000-sq-km pristine tourism destination along Saudi Arabia’s west coast.






The $50.6-billion giga-project to restore Diriyah as the beating cultural heart of Saudi Arabia and a gathering place for people across the world is set to mark major milestones with the first new asset –  Bujairi Terrace – poised to open this year.






Work on Amaala, a stunning wellness destination nestled along the Red Sea coast in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, is now moving to the construction phase with some 100 contracts worth around SR3.5 billion ($932 million) having been awarded to date.






Dewan, the lead design consultant on the futuristic Qiddiya Water Theme Park, says it is now supervising the physical construction of the theme park, which is one of the flagship projects in Qiddiya, a futuristic destination in the Saudi capital Riyadh.






Leading aluminium extrusion company Al Taiseer Aluminium Company (Talco) is looking to expand its global reach even further while catering to demand in its domestic market, where it is supplying some of the niche mega projects such as Neom, The Red Sea Project and Roshn housing developments.
