Swedish company Metso Minerals has fully equipped Tarmac's new quarry at Al Dhahira in Oman with crushing and screening equipment on a turnkey basis. The Al Dhahira Tarmac quarry is the largest wadi gravel deposit Tarmac has overseas.

Saudi Industrial Gas Company (Sigas) recently overhauled its two 19-year-old Atlas Copco compressors, adding at least a further five years to their lifetime. Founded in 1955, Sigas is one of Saudi Arabia's leading suppliers of liquid nitrogen and oxygen.

VOLVO Construction Equipment (VCE) has launched a new range of compact excavators. The new 1.5 to 2-tonne Volvo B-series which are said to combine their predecessors' high level of serviceability, quality and comfort with a new state-of-the-art load-sensing hydraulic system, reduced sound levels and enhanced security.
