Additional bank charges on prices ‘unfair’

MANAMA, January 5, 2016

Charging consumers any additional amount on the prices of goods and services purchases is 'unfair' and the banks that provide automatic payment devices must contractually agree with companies not to load consumers with additional charges. The directive was given by the minister to chief executives of banks during a meeting in the presence of Central Bank of Bahrain representatives, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
