Tadawul index edges up 1.15pc in 9 months

Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed at 8,091.76 points at the end of the first nine months of 2019, increasing by 92.22 points or 1.15 per cent over the close of the same period of the previous year.
Highest close level for the index during the period was 9,361.96 point on May 1, 2019.
Total equity market capitalization at the end September 30, 2019 reached SR1,908.45 billion ($508.92 billion), increasing by 0.47 per cent over the end of the 1st Nine months of the previous year.
The total value of shares traded for the first nine months reached SR647.60 billion ($172.70 billion), decreasing by 0.80 per cent over the same period of the previous year.
The total number of shares traded reached 24.16 billion shares during the first nine months of 2019 compared to 28.99 billion shares traded during the same period of the previous year, a decrease of 16.67 per cent.
The total number of transactions executed during the period reached 19.95 million compared to 17.71 million trades during the corresponding period of the previous year, an increase of 12.65 per cent. – TradeArabia News Service
