DIFC welcomes back clients, visitors post Covid lockdown
DUBAI, June 13, 2020
Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the leading international financial hub in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, is welcoming back its clients, visitors, retailers and restauranteurs to the Centre following the UAE lockdown period.
The Centre pointed out that health and safety of the DIFC community remained the utmost priority and hence strict public health procedures would be implemented as per guidelines from UAE and Dubai government authorities including directives on hygiene, sanitisation, and social distancing.
DIFC said it looks forward to welcoming back its vibrant business and leisure community in a safe and secure manner.
Under the new norms, all offices, private sector businesses and retail units could operate at 100% capacity provided all the pre-cautionary measure and social distancing requirements are adhered to, it stated.
Food & Beverage outlets would be free to operate at their own capacity provided they maintain safety and hygiene precautions, said the statement from DIFC.
This includes placing dining tables two metres apart for all customers. Alternatively culinary outlets will be required to establish separators or screens between tables, it added.
Meanwhile, DIFC made it clear that for indoor gyms, fitness centres, entertainment centres, hairdressers and barbers, only 50% capacity will be permitted.
As part of the precautionary measures, all visitors, tenants and employees will undergo temperature screenings and checks at all entrances.
Also it will be mandatory for all the staff and visitors to wear face masks at all times upon entering and whilst inside DIFC buildings. This includes those entering Gate Avenue to access third party buildings.-TradeArabia News Service
