Dubai ranks third globally in FDI flow: report

Dubai ranks first in the Mena region and third in the world in the number of foreign direct investment (FDI) projects attracted over a decade from 2010 to 2019 after London and Singapore, according to the Financial Times’ (FT) fDi Markets data.
The fDi Markets Data, which monitors capital flows in greenfield FDI projects worldwide, ranks Dubai as a major city in all benchmarking reports and city performance rankings in attracting foreign direct investment. While cities are classified as large, medium, and small, Dubai is classified as a Major city due to the strategic advantages and sustainable performance in attracting investment.
Dubai ranks first in the Mena region and sixth in the world in terms of foreign direct investment capital inflows, after Singapore, Shanghai, London, New York, and Hong Kong.
The emirate ranks first in the Mena region and seventh in the world in the number of jobs created from foreign direct investments, according to the Financial Times’ fDi Markets data. – TradeArabia News Service
