Qatari bank QInvest names two new co-CEOs

DOHA, July 26, 2021

QInvest, one of Qatar's leading investment bank and a prominent Islamic financial institution in the region, has announced that its board of directors have appointed Hussain Abdulla and Hussein Fakhreddine as new Co-CEOs of the bank.
 
Tamim Al Kuwari has resigned as the CEO but will remain in the position for some time to support with the transition. He will also continue serving as board member, according to a bank statement which added that Michael Katounas has also resigned as the Deputy CEO effective immediately.
 
Chairman Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Bin Jassim Al-Thani said: “We would like to thank Al Kuwari for his service as CEO. During his tenure, QInvest witnessed remarkable achievements in the midst of a difficult global financial environment.”
 
“We wish the new Co-CEOs all the best in the next phase of their careers," Sheikh Jassim added.
 
Abdulla and Fakhreddine have more than 22 years of combined experience at QInvest and more than 30 years of professional experience in the financial services industry.-TradeArabia News Service
