Saudi 9-month budget surplus hits $39.8bn

RIYADH, November 1, 2022

Saudi Arabia has recorded a nine-month budgetary surplus of SR149.54 billion ($39.8 billion), according to the kingdom's Ministry of Economy data.
 
The data showed that the Kingdom’s revenues from the beginning of the year 2022 until the third quarter was SR950.19 billion and expenditures SR800.65 billion.
 
For the third quarter, the revenue were SR301.87 billion and expenditures totalled SR287.72 billion. Surplus for Q3 was SR14.14 billion ($3.76 billion).
 
Saudi Arabia's 2022 budget projected total revenues of SR1.045 trillion and expenditure of SR955 billion, with a surplus of about SR90 billion.
 
Oil revenues for Q3 was SR229 billion, bringing the total oil revenues from the beginning of the year to SR663 billion, with an increase of 67 percent compared to SR396.7 billion during the same period last year.
 
Non-oil revenue for the Q3 of this year was SR72.84 billion, bringing the total from the beginning of the year to SR287 billion, with a decrease of 4% compared to SR299.54 the same period last year.
 
The government reserve at the end of Q3 was SR317 billion. - TradeArabia News Service
