Saudi Payments has obtained the international standard IEC/ISO 17065, provided through the Saudi Accreditation Center, making it the first financial entity in the kingdom to obtain this accreditation. 

 

By fulfilling all requirements of this certification, which encompasses products, processes and services, Saudi Payments ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service in the KSA in line with the best international standards in the financial sector and digital payments fields, said the statement from Saudi Payments.

 

The IEC/ISO 17065 certification further confirms the availability of adequate and documented quality control procedures across permit processes and the aptness of Saudi Payments’ environment to perform these operations.

 

This accreditation further confirms Saudi Payments’ commitment to applying the best standards in permit issuance and technical authorization processes for products, services, and processes. 

 

The Saudi Accreditation Center provides accreditation services for conformity assessment bodies in partnership with quality ecosystem stakeholders locally and globally to improve their competence it stated. 

 

The center aims to increase the competitiveness of the national economy and drive international trade while contributing to enhancing the quality infrastructure in Saudi Arabia to reach the top 10 globally by 2030.

 

The certification also confirms Saudi Payments’ diligence in regularly ensuring the competence of its technical and administrative teams and the suitability of the equipment used in its Certification Center, it added. 

 

Operating under the supervision of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), Saudi Payments manages the national payment infrastructure in the Kingdom, providing leading payment brands, such as mada, Sarie, SADAD, and Esal, to drive the growth of a secure and sustainable ecosystem. 

 

Saudi Payments said it has scored key milestones in various digital payments fields, adopting the best and most innovative international technical practices to develop payment systems compatible with the digitalization goals of the financial sector development programme.
