Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Binance, one of the world’s most important cryptocurrency firms, will be a key participant on day one of the inaugural Fintech Forward 2023 (FF23) in Bahrain which will be programmed by Economist Impact as part of its Transformation Agenda, supported by EDB.

 

FF23 will be held on October 11 and 12.

 

The session with CZ will weigh in on the potential disruptive effect of cryptocurrencies in a session that analyses the potential for crypto to become pillar of the finance and world economies.

 

The exclusive interview with the Binance founder and CEO will be conducted by Alice Fulwood, a Wall Street correspondent at The Economist, delving into the revolutionary world of crypto technologies and blockchain in a timely and insightful discussion that will speculate the ability of cryptocurrency to be adopted as a bedrock of modern finance and economics, and overcome hurdles in the likes of technical speeds and carbon footprint. 

 

Decentralised crypto

Additionally, the one-on-one session will take a deep dive examining the ability of decentralised crypto to gain sufficient market share, shedding light on CZ’s worldly views on what the wise rules of regulatory frameworks and crypto currency oversight ought to look like in the future. 

 

CZ’s interview happens on day one of FF23, where the curated transformation-themed agenda promises to challenge traditional financial frameworks with a fresh mindset by bringing together prominent international experts, industry pioneers, and leading executives across finance and fintech in a series of sessions to exchange insights and discuss worldviews on the challenges - and opportunities - that lie ahead.

FF23 will be held under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) in partnership with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) and powered by Bahrain Fintech Bay (BFB), featuring a lineup of panel discussions across two days.
