Bahrain hands over AITRS Board of Trustees Chair to KSA

Bahrain has handed over the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS) Board of Trustees Chair to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
The information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) had represented Bahrain at the 48th Board of Trustees session of AITRS held in Jeddah from October 4 to 5.
During the opening, iGA Deputy Chief Executive for Statistics and Population Registry and Chair of the Board of Trustees’ 47th session, Duaa Sultan Alharban commended KSA for hosting the event.
Joint initiatives
She expressed her best wishes for their success in chairing the 48th session and affirmed Bahrain's support for the General Authority for Statistics’ efforts to advance statistical work and joint initiatives.
The meeting delved into the progress report of the 2023 Action Plan, as well as the one for 2024-2025. Discussions also shed light on statistical activities and initiatives in Arab countries, including the scheduling of the 49th session in 2024.
KSA will have the honour of presiding over the AITRS’ Board of Trustees throughout the next year. The Republic of Tunisia will assume the presidency for the subsequent session.--TradeArabia News Service
